He commenced his career in 2005 as an analyst at a Belgian M&A boutique, and then moved to the family office of two industrial families to work as an investment manager. His many experiences on both buy- & sell-side advisory, combined with his academic background ensures that Kris has the necessary knowledge and expertise and is ideally placed to assist company owners in strategic and financial matters relating to M&A. Kris understands better than anyone the sensitivities and characteristics of a family business, as he himself comes from a family-owned business and he has, over the years, built up the necessary affinity with the (family) business world.

Jo Maris
Expert M&A
Jo has worked as a tax consultant since 1995, advising various (multinational) companies. As a tax manager, he has provided personal income tax, corporation tax, inheritance and financial planning services. From 2008 the focus has shifted to succession planning particularly business transition. At a former leading Belgian estate planner, Jo was one of the driving forces behind the M&A Family Business Department. Jo also covers the legal aspects of business transfer, as business transfer involves much more than purely tax matters. Since 2008, Jo has advised numerous businesses on the succession and transfer of their businesses.
Jo was educated at the Catholic University of Brussels (KUB) and EHSL (now KUL), where in the senior years of his Master of Commercial Sciences degree, he specialised in Taxation, later becoming a Certified Accountant and Tax Consultant (IAB).

Jonathan Vermeeren
Partner M&A
Jonathan began his career in 2007, after graduating with a Master's degree in Applied Economics (with distinction) from the University of Antwerp, at Deloitte, where he worked as an auditor for larger financial institutions.
He then worked as a freelancer for almost 15 years, combining auditing, accountancy, and corporate finance activities. His clientele included larger SMEs as well as government institutions and multinationals.
Gradually, his focus shifted more and more to M&A assignments. In 2022, he made the switch to Dealmakers (part of Moore) to become a Partner responsible for the Limburg region, focusing exclusively on sell-side guidance. A successful transaction with satisfied clients in more than 90% of his projects is perhaps the best proof of his abilities. Begin 2026, he made the switch to DaVinci Corporate Finance, where he immediately felt at home and is fully aligned with the team in terms of goals, drive, and approach.
As the son of an independent auditor, dealing with and working for entrepreneurs with attention to their specific family context is, as it were, second nature to him. Jonathan has been living in Hasselt for 30 years, where his wife is also a successful entrepreneur as a real estate agent. His network is therefore particularly well developed in Limburg, Flemish Brabant, and Liège. Bringing together the local, national, and international parties/buyers he has gotten to know throughout his career with Limburg entrepreneurs is therefore perfectly suited to him.
